A passion and a profession

I began editing professionally over 30 years ago, working for three years as a copy editor on the news desk of a large regional newspaper. After that, I moved to the mountains of western North Carolina to work for 11 years at one of the Southeast’s largest outfitters and whitewater schools, where I spent my last six years in the marketing department as writer, editor and press liaison.

In 1995 I started my own company, Articulate INK, to provide copywriting, editing, proofreading and book design to clients as varied as a major resort, a religious retreat center, several small book publishers, print and web designers, a state educational facility dedicated to keeping teachers in the profession, several yoga studios, and authors of fiction, nonfiction and poetry. Each time, I met fascinating, passionate people and shared their excitement for their calling.
